Planning a bridal shower is a great way to celebrate the bride-to-be. Once you've nailed down the basics like the theme of the party, date and invite list, it's time to work out the details to make it an extra special day for the bride! We're sharing 5 of our favorite ways to plan an insta-worthy bridal shower!
One: Custom Cookies
Custom cookies are a great statement to add to place settings (like below) or can be placed on a chic 3-tiered stand. Get creative when working with a baker like Sugar Shimmer and personalize some of the cookies with the bride-to-be's new last name or utilize colors from the wedding theme. The options are endless! And, custom cookies can double as a party favor. Just have the baker leave enough in plastic wraps so guests can take them home. Who doesn't like a little dessert to go!
Two: Prosecco Cart
If you're anticipating a larger crowd, reserving a mobile bar like The Prosecco Cart is a great way to get the party started! Entertain your guests with a chilled glass of Prosecco, and give them something to talk about while they take photos with the cart, sip their drink and wait to shower the bride-to-be. Create custom photo props for extra fun. We guarentee this added touch will be the talk of the town for quite some time! The bride may just have to reserve it for her big day, too!
Three: Flower Arranging
Looking for a not so basic activity to do during the party? Flower arranging is a unique activity that everyone will love. It's simple.
Here's a quick how-to:
- Gather enough medium to large mason jars and vases from your local thrift store for all guests.
- You'll need a few buckets too to keep the flowers in water before the activity.
- Head to a local wholesale flower shop the afternoon before or morning of the party to collect a variety of blooms. The shop will be able to help you determine how much you'll need.
- At the party location, set-up 1-3 tables depending on your guest count and cover them with plastic tablecloths for easy clean-up.
- You will also need a few sets up pruning scissors and garbage cans to discard clippings.
- Let attendees have fun arranging a bouquet for their vase. And, wallah! Guests can take them home as a beautiful party favor.
This is also a great activity if a bride-to-be is having more than one shower thrown for her. You can only play Bridal Bingo, Who Knows the Bride Best and He Said, She Said so many times.
Four: Balloon Arch
A balloon arch is the perfect "Instra-Worthy" addition to any party! While you can pay someone to construct one for you, they are actually quite easy to assemble on your own. Just recruit a few of the bridesmaids to assist the evening before the party -- no helium is required.
Balloon arches can be used in the entrance to the venue or as a photo booth backdrop. The bride-to-be will be esstactic to have the perfect spot to take her Instagram pictures with her friends and family.
Five: Signature Cocktail
Surprise the bride-to-be by naming a signature cocktail after her. If you've rented The Prosecco Cart, work with the bartenders to create a drink for the party. If the bride-to-be has a favorite drink like an Aperol Spritz or Paloma, a bartender will be able to put a fun twist on it just for her!
Work with a calligrapher or paper goods maker to create a custom sign to prop up by the mobile bar so every knows what the drink of the day is. You can also hand guests the beverage when they first arrive.
