New Mexico Wedding
The Couple's Love Story
Jeremy and Ashley first met in 2004 at a tennis tournament that brought them both instant butterflies. However, they left that day not knowing that they wouldn't see each other again for another eleven years. Ironically, another sporting event and mutual friends brought them back together in 2015. Their eyes locked and immediately they both smiled remembering the first time they had laid eyes on each other, many years before. That night, Jeremy and Ashley spent hours talking and laughing together and really getting to know each other. Needless to say, they didn't let another eleven years pass. They began dating and in October of 2017, Jeremy surprised Ashley by proposing on a weekend trip to Austin to visit friends. As they walked along the pedestrian bridge that overlooks the river downtown, Jeremy knelt and asked Ashley to marry him. She said "I do" and cried sweet tears with the Austin skyline romantically watching.
They got married in August of 2018 at Alto Lakes Golf & Country Club in Alto, New Mexico, a small town located near Ruidoso. They live in Midland, Texas, but the mountains in New Mexico have a special place in their hearts. Ashley grew up taking family trips to Ruidoso, enjoying horse races and paddle boarding, so when she took Jeremy for the first time, she said "his eyes lit up" because it was so beautiful, and of course, the golf courses there are amazing. They both loved the venue for many reasons - the mountains, the views, the trees. Jeremy and Ashley said being there made them feel free and open and that it was their dream location to say their vows in front of their friends and family.
