What I loved most about planning this wedding was working with such an incredible couple. I was immediately intrigued by their cultural background, unique style, and their story. Also, I have to mention that I immediately fell for Frank the Frenchie, as I have my own French bulldog at home -- I knew they were my kind of people and I wanted to plan a special, beautiful and memorable day for them.
I describe this couple as very unique - romantic yet a little edgy. I knew I had to weave in their love of our Utah mountains and rock climbing theme, but still keeping it classy and beautiful. The escort card display was a favorite part of mine to dream up and implement. We made it with a sandstone rock slab from a local quarry and had local climbs represented as table numbers on a modern acrylic piece attached to the slab. The place cards were rocks gathered from our mountains and the guest names were beautifully hand-painted on each one. Another detail I loved to incorporate was the groom's Chinese heritage and it was wonderful to weave in in some of the cultural traditions with pops of the color red. I can't forget Frank! He was definitely the star of the show (second to the bride and groom of course). He proudly walked down the aisle adorned with his floral collar. Also, o thought it would be fun to take the children's gift packs Frank themed. I feel lucky that I had such an amazing and unique couple for this wedding. It was a pleasure to work with them and plan their special day and I loved surprising them with these little special details especially dreamed up for them!
