My love for sweets started at the age of two at my brother’s baptism. Up to this point, I had never had any sugar. When the film from the baptism and reception was developed, there I was in my red velveteen dress sitting next to my Poppy, wide eyed with delight and a half eaten brownie. Little did I know, this moment was the beginning of a life long love affair.
Upon graduating from Johnson and Wales University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. From then on, I moved approximately every two years from one wedding destination to another, hoping to soak up as much inspiration + style as possible. These opportunities included Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, The Inn at Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach, CA and Jenny’s Wedding Cakes (a small cake boutique) servicing Boston, MA.
In the fall of 2013, I moved to Jackson with my love, Joe, for a “wintry getaway”. Two days in, I knew that we had found our new home. Taking a year to thoroughly enjoy all of Jackson’s adventures (and get my pilot’s rating), Buttercream opened for business in 2014 and has been serving the Jackson, WY surrounding areas + beyond ever since!
